"Cors-Air M21Y power units": All Serial numbers. Issued April 11th 2002 Stator bolt failure.
Several failures have occurred of the two M6 bolts securing the stator assembly on these engines. It is imperative that the bolts are replaced, the aluminum spacers replaced by steel ones and lock-washers fitted under the bolt heads. Work should only be carried out by a competent mechanic with the correct maintenance tools, otherwise the engine should be returned to an authorised dealer for rectification. Details of the procedures involved are at www.conairsports.co.uk. Following this work the engine should be test run for five minutes following procedures outlined in the Operator's Manual. UK importer ConAir Sports consider that compliance with this notice is mandatory within one hour of operating time or two months, whichever is sooner. Engines under one-year warranty will be modified by ConAir free of charge; engines out of warranty will be modified by ConAir at a fixed charge of £20 inc VAT (engine not installed) or £35 (engine installed). Delivery costs will be borne by the end user. ConAir Sports Ltd, Southam, Warks, tel/fax: 01926 614422, Email: service@conairsports.co.uk |
